Alchemizing Fear

This process of self-inquiry changes you. 

It helps you unbecome the version of you that has been weighed down by old wounds, legacy burdens, core beliefs and societal constructs and enables you to become the free and clear individual you have always been. The process of transforming our fear is all part of it.

In truth, we aren’t really transforming our fear, but are ourselves changing around it as we lean into it, hold space for it to speak to us, and accept it as it is; this is the part that I notice trips most people up when doing this work. 

Just this week, I recorded a podcast episode all about inner alchemy and the wisdom of fear to help you find a baseline for what this process is all about. In it, I share about my own struggles with fear and shame and how there was so much wisdom within each of these emotions when I finally was able to step back.

Every one of the emotions we experience is vital to our human experience and has so much to offer (yes, even shame). To move forward with our healing, personal development, self-realization or shadow work, we have to acknowledge precisely where we’re at – this means honouring our complex emotions lying under the surface and connecting with them through compassionate, courageous presence. 

It’s relationship-building within the many parts of ourselves and developing trust between our Self or Essence (or Heart, if you like) and the emotions we’ve been pressing down, pushing away and alienating.

And, trust me – it takes more than one sitting to heal that inner relationship. As you know from the outside world, you can’t just walk up to someone and say, “Hi, let’s be friends,” leave it at that and expect to be friends for the rest of your life. To maintain and develop a friendship, you have to put a little work into the relationship, AND as you do that, the rewards and connection you receive open all sorts of incredible doors within you.

I’ll say it again, this process of self-inquiry changes you. 

It allows the exponential growth of who you were always meant to be. The most amazing thing about it is this magic happens right alongside the natural healing process of your nervous system!
